Thought I would share this beautiful Disney animated short film, Paperman. It screened recently with Wreck-it Ralph and has a similar theme to this week’s Timothy Leary comic. Even though working on Zen Pencils is my dream job, a very close second would be story artist at Disney/Pixar.

Derp, got that wrong, thats the trailer, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTLySbGoMX0 is the short.
Thanks Noah, I replaced it with the correct link
Awesome – I love it
it would be the best thing if you were working at disney pixar! you would definitely deserve it. i love every one of your pieces
Not trying to be a party-pooper, but I thought the story looked familiar.

Wow, that is pretty similar … interesting.
Wow, absolutely love this!
Paperman wasn’t my favorite Pixar short. I feel like, at Pixar, they really want to do a good job of presenting a story without dialog but have missed the mark on a couple of occasions (I’m thinking specifically about Wall-e).
Pixar also has some fantastic shorts without dialog that really hit a home run. ‘For the Birds’ was one of the best shorts I have ever seen but it’s been a while since Pixar had this kind of success with wordless story telling.
I think that Pixar should team up with someone like Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) to take the silent story telling to the next level.
I loved Wall-e! We’ll agree to disagree
also to be fair this was a Disney film, which is different to the Pixar department.
Up and Wall-E are the best animations ever made.
And yes, I am saying so because I watch a LOT of Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks animations.
PS: @Gav, I loved Paperman animation tooo.. When I saw the “You aren’t like them..” comic, I instantly got reminded of this
Then noticed you’ve uploaded it yourself.
Imma let you finish but Wreck-It Ralph and Rise of the Guardians were the best animations ever.
I’m just kidding. I loved Up, but haven’t seen Wall-E, so I can’t really say anything for or against it ^^:

Reminds me of that income tax advert that comes on Aussie TV every year: The one with the man covered in postit notes.
I think this was one of my favorite shorts. I loved it. Plus, Wreck It Ralph was adorable.
I cannot watch the video. I get an error message: “This video is private”
You guys gotta watch this too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPBfaMsA97o
It’s called Pendulum.
I think you might of changed my life. 6 figure, art school, sell out, dead end job, hate for who I became, and despite all that, when I see your work, I’m inspired. I know there is a hope and I’m willing to risk everything, because when you close your eyes and the images are bagging your soul to come out, you just have to listen to them and abide by them.
Way to go! Good luck
Watched and very interested. Its amazing how a small chance gust of wind can create a great story.
Loved it
