I’ve had an overwhelming response to yesterday’s post about getting your help in translating my comics. In less than 24 hours I’ve received nearly 500 emails! I was expecting to get like 20 or 30 emails, but 500? I’m incredibly touched and flattered by your response and generosity. From the bottom of my heart … THANK YOU! Can I kindly ask that you stop sending emails as I think I should have more than enough volunteers for now.
Next is the task of sorting through all the emails and organising this project properly. For each language I’ll be picking about 10 people, dividing the comics up between them and sending them a handful of ‘blank’ comics with the text removed. They will have to place the translated copy on themselves (I will provide some fonts) so some knowledge of layout software is required. I won’t be able to respond to each of your emails individually so If you don’t hear from me please don’t be offended, and thank you again for offering to help.

So you’re going to assign 10 people each language? Assuming that from that 500 guys sent you mails the language dispersion is equal then you’ll be able to cover 50 languages.

COUNT(LANGUAGE) – same site, another link. If you look into most widely spoken languages, with those top 10 we can cover half of the world… I think its a pretty good start.

I offer for spanish translations. Please mind that raw translations tend to distort the true meaning of many quotes, the epic sense is then lost in the hands of poor wording. Poets know this by heart.
I really like the quotes and toons and I wouldn’t like to see them tarnished.
