Ella Wheeler Wilcox (1850-1919) was an American poet most famous for her collection Poems of Passion, which contains her most well-known poem Solitude. Like The Winds of Fate, many of Wilcox’s poems contain uplifting language and promotes positive thinking as she was an advocate of the New Thought movement.
